Patients, Caregivers Join for Colorful ‘Café’ Sessions
Journey Hospice Teams with UMC The Shores, Bratton Law for Ongoing Programming
Journey Hospice is a proud co-host of the Memory Café at United Methodist Communities The Shores, along with Bratton Estate and Elder Care Attorneys. The Memory Café is a series of creative workshops for caregivers and their aging loved ones who have dementia. It provides a dementia-friendly space for everyone to engage in and enjoy music, gentle movement, art, and more.
Each Memory Café session is designed to combine mental stimulation incorporated with physical activity. It provides an opportunity for caregivers to connect with their loved ones and create special memories together.
Last month, caregivers and patients joined together to create unique works in pottery. This month, the group’s meeting focused on painting the pieces with spring-inspired colors. The seasonal hues brought the pieces to life!
Thank you to everyone involved for making this event possible. Are you interested in joining or learning more? Please call 609-399-8505.
